Last Tournament

My last tournament in Cali is two weeks from now on February 22nd at UC Irvine. We'll be driving in on Saturday and the tournament will probably start around 10am on Sunday. Since it is the last one of the season we will be staying late as the people running it crunch the numbers to determine placing; there is an awards ceremony after this is done. I don't forsee us leaving before 5 so I will be at the school all day. This will probably be the last time I'll be in the area for quite some time.

The state passed some draconian budget cuts to deal with the deficit and ASU has to make some major changes now to deal with the sudden reduction in state funding. My tuition might be doubling next year. Whoo. If the budget doesn't improve, ASU's graduate programs will probably take a huge hit as well. So much for having it as my backup school.
